Identicarea interactiilor in care o proteina e implicata si activity-based protein profiling in identificarea proceselor biochimice au semnificativa valoare in era post-genomica. Ma intereseaza cercetarea aplicata in scopul identificari de biomarkeri si selectia de efector specifici – de exemplu peptide, anticorpi sau celule modificate pentru scopuri terapeutice. Ma intereseaza cartarea proteinelor cu rol specific, interactia cu alte molecule biologice si evaluarea interactiilor cu modulatori sau substrate, pato-fiziologia si aspectele clinice. In cercetarea fundamentala si translationala (cercertarea biomarkerilor si terapia imunitara) aplic technici de visualisare in vivo si analiza interactiilor moleculare in vitro – basata pe afinitatea naturala a proteinelor.
a. Functia si topografia disintegrin proteazelor si substratele specifice in ontogeneza. [i]
b. Dezvoltarea mijloacelor de evaluarea a biomarkerilor pentru Alzheimer’s diseases, si implicarea in terapia imunitara[ii], [iii], [iv].
c. Rolul junction adhesion molecules in inflamatie si in cellule canceroase de plaman in metastaza[v].
d. Interactia specifica intre neutrophile (via antigenului specific CD177) si endothelium (via CD31 membranar)[vi]. Interactia heterophilica CD177-CD31 are loc in inflamatie si este mai puternica decat interactia homophilica CD31-CD31. Expresia CD31 controleaza expresia si activitatea HO-1. [vii]
e. Analiza serului pacientilor cu neonatal alloimmune mediated thrombocytopenia [viii], [ix]
