To create a high-level research group for translational onco-immunology based on NK cell engineering and generation of CAR-NK constructs for cancer treatmen
MAIN PROJECT OBJECTIVES
To create a high-level research group for translational onco-immunology based on NK cell engineering and generation of CAR-NK constructs for cancer treatmen
To develop a competitive research workforce and to create a dynamic research environment starting with its employees and providing new jobs for postdoctoral researchers, PhD students and laboratory technicians
To develop an experimental prototype of CAR-NK cells able to specifically recognise and kill tumour cells
To ensure the transfer of knowledge from academia to business
To ensure the transfer of results to economy through two patents on generation of CAR-NK constructs that can be afterwards developed as cancer treatment method.
To promote high-quality research, by publishing six scientific papers on the project results and by submitting at least one project proposal to the Horizon 2020 Programme during the 48 months of the CAR-NK project.
