The outstanding expertise of the foreign researchers who coordinated the writing of this project enables the team to acquire knowledge on NK-cell engineering and generation of specific CAR-NK constructs able to selectively target tumour cells. This will be the cornerstone for the development of new concepts, while the technology itself might be applied to other tumour antigens or other immune system effector cells. Successful implementation of this project will provide the necessary knowledge for the development of personalized medicine services that can be offered to cancer patients after the end of the project.
